Anaconda3 installer stuck at 'Running package scripts'

hello guys ive been having trouble installing anaconda3 on my macbook. i get to almost the end of the installer but it gets stuck at ‘Running package scripts’. I have tried leaving it running for about 30mins it is still stuck there.

I have tried doing rm -rf ~/opt/anaconda3 in terminal before reinstalling again

I am currently running macOS High Sierra (10.13.6)

currently i already have python 3.10 on my macbook. could it be because on the anaconda website the installer is for 3.9?

Have you tried the command-line install instead?

If you weren’t successful yet, I recommend you uninstall Anaconda and try install through the command-line instead. We should at least get some helpful feedback instead of it just being stuck.
