My Code:

derivative_one = "5x^4"
derivative_two = "9x^8"
slope_one = 80
slope_two = 0

does it mean I set up derivative_one and derivative_two randomly and calculate slope_one and slope_two?? I don’t understand why it put derivative_one as 8x^4 and derivative_two as x^8…

Are you referring to the solution they have provided for that Mission Step?

If yes, then they are giving you the derivatives in the solution so that you can cross-check your own solution.

Yes, i mean the solution. But how it get 80 for slope_one?

You calculate the derivative and then set x = 2 in that derivative.
