and I feel this is wrong because we all know we write (x,y) and in the pic (x=7,y=2)

is indeed seven length units away from the y-axis. This doesn’t mean the y-coordinate is 7
, it only means that A
is seven units away from the y-axis.
The same reasoning applies to point A
being two units away from the x-axis.
