Some Markdown Coding in GitHub not Working

I was able to successfully upload a Jupyter Notebook file (.ipynb) into GitHub as well as include the embedded pictures by uploading the picture files as well.
However, it looks like certain Markdown coding does not register in GitHub for example:

  1. My project title coded as follows didn’t show up:

    Analyzing CIA Factbook Data Using SQL

  2. My color coding as follows didn’t show up but the bold did: “<span style=“color:blue”>In this project

Can I address these shortcomings?

@sbgraham72: don’t think you can do anything about it. Github has dropped support for this. Images can be included by adding the image to the repo then specifying ![image_description](imagelink). Attached are 2 articles on the colored text:
