Step 5, course 1, guided project: investigating fandango ratings

I checked the github analysis of this exercise ( it is under this paragraph) and I got one big doubt about the way the conclusion that fandango did update the ratings and removed the round mistake was achieved. The movie ratings from different years ( before and after the change of rounding) were compared through a kernel density plots and median, mean and mode and through this numbers ( that changed, got lower and less skewed). But what if there was a real change in the quality of the movies from one year to another? Wasn’t it better to compare the results between Fandango and imdb, rotten tomatoes before and after the rounding change?
