The data story visualization

I need to help for understanding this part.

ax1.plot([2, 4, 8], [2, 8, 16])

I understand “ax1.plot” part but I can’t understand “([2, 4, 8], [2, 8, 16])” part what means.

Have you checked out the documentation for this function? I know it can be a little overwhelming at first but you can often find an example that will point you in the right direction.

Also, if you look at the resulting plot in the Learn section (shown below for convenience) can you see any correlation between these lists of numbers and their resulting graphs? What if you were to pair corresponding elements from each list together? For example, for ax3: (3,16), (9,4), and (18,16) and then look at the third graph in the diagram…can you see what these values are doing in our plot?
