You may have noticed some changes to our logos last week - they’re all rainbows!
We chose to do this to help honor Pride Month, which has historically been celebrated in June. June was chosen for LGBT Pride Month to commemorate the Stonewall riots, which occurred at the end of June 1969.
As part of how Dataquest celebrates Pride, we’d love to share a couple of ways you can participate:
Lesbians Who Tech is hosting (Not IRL) Pride Summit online, a massive virtual LGBTQ tech gathering during the week of June 22-26 that is open to all and is free to attend: https://lesbianswhotech.org/virtualpridesummit/
Black Girls Code is a trans-inclusive non-profit organization dedicated to teaching girls ages 7-17 programming skills, empowering them to become innovators in STEM fields, leaders in their communities, and builders of their own futures. Learn more and make a donation: http://blackgirlscode.org/
